Welcome
to Secure Telemedicine, a cutting
edge
approach
to health care that connects doctors to patients
using the
latest, state-of-the-art technology.
So, let's get started. First, for your safety
and well-being, our doctors have requested that each "NEW" patient
follow these guidelines:
- GO online or give us a call and speak
to one of our Patient Care Managers and complete our medical
history and assessment (5 minutes).
- If requesting
medications—FAX a copy of your valid photo ID and your
most recent medical records or fill out the Medical Records
Release form to allow us to obtain the records for you.
(Records must be within the last 12-24 months). If you are requesting a refill
prescription of medications, the doctors require a history
and physical once a year. Click here to
download the required forms. If you do not have these
items, a doctor or Patient Care Manager will discuss your
options during pre initial consult.
Please note: Your records should clearly document
the condition for which you are requesting a consultation.
*If you do not have these items, a doctor will discuss
your options during the initial consult.
- Have a PHONE consultation
with one of the Telemedicine Physicians to discuss your
case and treatment options.
Please note: If after reviewing your case
the doctor determines that your condition requires medication,
you will be given a valid prescription.

We are deeply committed
to your safety, privacy and ongoing well-being. We implement
stringent policies and procedures, have instant access to
the most up-to-date medical equipment, utilize advanced scheduling
techniques, recommend as-needed lab testing, streamline prescription
drug utilization review, make sure you have all necessary
and required forms, and have tracking mechanisms in place
so that managing your health care has never been easier.
Personalized treatment starts with our initial interaction
with you because we care about your health first.
Although our Telemedicine Physicians can prescribe
medications and request tests, Secure Telemedicine is
not an online pharmacy or medical clinic and patients must
qualify before being given any treatment plan. Our Telemedicine
Physicians follow strict guidelines, as well as adhering
to state and federal laws. First and foremost, we connect
people who are seeking preventative, maintenance and long-term
treatment for chronic conditions with more effective methods
for treating and improving their health. We also provide
e-health technology that allows doctors to interact with
their patients regardless of distance or remote locations
by using a combination of phone, fax, Internet and/or home
health monitoring equipment and solutions otherwise known
as telehealth or telemonitoring.

Telehealth uses the Internet and telecommunications
devices including telephones, fax machines, at-home exams,
web based tools, home health monitoring equipment and solutions
placed in patients’ homes to take their vital signs
every day, remind the patient to take medication and answer
simple questions that help the doctor know any change in
the patient’s condition.
From a technological
point of view, these are exciting times. Consider this: The
very same kind of innovation that is used by NASA is available
for delivering your healthcare information right to the doctor's
office, the pharmacy, a nursing home or a private residence.
That's the kind of technological innovation you get with
Secure TeleMed.
Secure TeleMed programs can include
integrated live video, voice and/or data communications system
that easily and effectively delivers healthcare from any
location using an existing residential telephone line to
transmit data directly from point to point. This system makes
it possible to access personalized, affordable and secure
healthcare from any location. The benefits of using this
telemonitoring system include:
- Reduced costs
- Ease of use & convenience
- Flexibility & accessibility
- Security
- Preventative
- Catch any issues early
When it comes to containing health
care costs, consider this: By allowing more frequent and
consistent consultations between remote patients and healthcare
providers, the result is clear: Secure Telemedicine provides
access to health tools and resources that saves lives and
reduces costs associated with clinic and emergency room visits
and hospitalizations by enabling preventative diagnoses and
early intervention. Other benefits to be factored in include
how much easier it is for both patients and caregivers. Also,
since the system uses a phone line and an Internet connection
to transmit a patient’s updated condition directly
from point to point, it is completely secure and convenient.
Telemonitoring lets health
care professionals work more efficiently since the system
allows one doctor or nurse to observe the clinical health
of patients and effectively direct medical attention to those
who need it. The patient can log on and record their vital
stats and report any changes in their condition or use devices
that automatically transmit their vital health information.
The data is transmitted via a plain telephone line and sent
to a web-based system for review by clinicians. There, healthcare
professionals can detect and address even the slightest abnormalities
before they become serious, preventing emergency room visits
and hospitalizations.
Telehealth uses telecommunications devices
placed in patients' homes to take their vital signs every
day, reminds the patient to take medication and answer simple
questions about their condition in the comfort of their home.
A telehealth professional or nurse will train
the patient to interpret his or her blood pressure, levels,
pulse rates and weight with equipment installed in their
home. The patient will transmit their results for review
daily. If any readings are outside the parameters set by
the physician, an immediate intervention can take place to
address the patient's needs. |
